From the Liver, pick up the A50 at Maghull and head North through Ormskirk. Turn right onto the A581 heading for Chorley, at the junction with the A6 turn left towards junction 8 on the M61.
The A 674 (should be on the far side of the motorway junction ?) follow this for a mile or so then right to Abbey Village and the pub is somewhere in the village.
